The Solemnity of All Saints, celebrated annually on November 1, is a day dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. November 1st falls on a Tuesday this year, so this IS a HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION.
November 2nd is the Feast of All Souls. On this special day we commemorate the faithful departed. Each Mass will be held in the cemetery (weather permitting) and will be followed by the blessing of the graves.

As of this weekend, the mission parishes of St. Rose will have new weekend Mass times, as follows: Saturday Vigil - 5:30 pm - Ammannsville, St. John the Baptist; Sunday - 8:30 am - Holman, St. Wenceslaus; Sunday - 10:15 am - High Hill, St. Mary's. NOTE: There are no changes to the Mass times at St. Rose of Lima
Vacation Bible School for 2022 will be held Tuesday June 28 through Friday July 1 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the St. Rose School Gym. This year's theme is "Living in God's Kingdom". All students who will be entering 4K through 4th grade can enroll. Older students are welcome to help serve as Royal Assistants! All students must fill out registration forms. St. Rose will hold their annual church picnic on Sunday, June 12th. Mark your calendar and plan to join us! We are finalizing all the details, but we are planning for a FULL picnic this year! St. Rose is holding a penance service on Thursday, April 7 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the church. Multiple priests will be available for confession during this time; you can come and go as suits your schedule. Please make use of this opportunity for confession as we approach Holy Week.
On Friday, March 25th, St. Rose parish will be both honoring and invoking our Mother Mary. We will have Mass at 8:10 am (special time instead of the usual 7:45 am) for the Solemnity of the Annunciation. Then at 10:40 we will have Adoration followed by a rosary, and then at 11 am we will join Catholics worldwide for the Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Lent starts THIS WEEK. Start off this holy season by coming to church on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd. We have the following services scheduled. St. Rose/Schulenburg: Mass at 8:10 a.m., Distribution of Ashes service at 12:00 Noon, Mass at 7:00 p.m. St. Mary's/High Hill: Mass at 5:30 p.m. St. John/Ammannsville - Mass at 7:00 p.m.
Fr. Scott and Fr. Isaac will both be on retreat this week. Please note this week's schedule: • Monday Jan 10 — Communion Service at 6 pm. • Tuesday Jan 11 — Exposition at 5 pm, but no confessions. Communion Service at 6 pm. • Wednesday Jan 12 — No Mass nor Communion Service The normal schedule will resume with Mass at 8:10am on Thursday January 13 with Fr. Paul Razz celebrating. ALSO NOTE: The parish office will be closed Wednesday, January 12th.

On the last Sunday of the liturgical year, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Christ the King. St. Rose of Lima is holding its first annual Christ the King Procession on Sunday, November 21 at 5 pm, beginning at the church. Fr. Scott will expose the Eucharist for adoration, and then we will process around the neighborhood, making our back to church for benediction. Refreshments will follow. Please join us as we literally take our Lord Jesus through the streets of Schulenburg.
