On Friday, March 25th, St. Rose parish will be both honoring and invoking our Mother Mary.
March 25 is the Solemnity of the Annunciation. On this very special day, we remember Mary’s fiat, her “yes” to God and conceiving our Lord Jesus. It’s no coincidence this feast is celebrated exactly 9 months before Christmas Day.
We are having Mass at 8:10 am (instead of the usual 7:45 am) so that the school children can join for a special celebration.
ALSO, Pope Francis has asked all Catholics to assemble in their parishes on Friday to pray the act of consecration of the world, particularly Russia and Ukraine, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We will begin around 10:40 a.m. with Adoration and a rosary, and then pray the consecration at 11:00 a.m., in solidarity with Catholics around the world, including the Holy Father in Rome.
Please join us for either or both of these events if you can.
Alternatively, you can watch a livestream of the Vatican's consecration service online or on EWTN, or you can watch an online livestream of the Diocese of Victoria's service. More information, including links, will be posted in the comments.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!!
