The Diocese of Victoria has suspended Masses with a congregation and other gatherings through April 30th, as recommended by government and health officials. First Communion has been postponed; a date will be set sometime in the future.
God’s Embrace Ministries in High Hill will be livestreaming Holy Week Services celebrated by Fr. Tim and Fr. Felix. Alternatively, you can watch Holy Week Services with Bishop Cahill, livestreamed from the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory; there are also many other services available online and on television. We will share these schedules in future posts. Please find some way to connect to church services and other spiritual aids during this time. Contact the church office if you have questions, and we will find someone to help you.
Fr. Tim and Fr. Felix will also be celebrating Holy Week Services at St. Rose Church, without congregations as directed. Palms will be blessed on Palm Sunday, but will not be given out that day per the Bishop’s directives. Palms will be distributed at the first Mass that people are allowed to attend.
The St. Rose Parish Office remains open Monday through Friday, and the church is open for people wanting to make private visits during the week.
Please remember your continuing support for your church by mailing in or dropping off your contributions. The 2020 Diocesan Services Appeal is underway as well; please contribute to this to help the Diocese provide services and to help our parish meet its assessment.
The parish bulletin is available on our website or at the church.
