GOOD NEWS: Our refurbished pews are BACK, and getting installed in the church starting this week (July 20th). BAD NEWS: We cannot use the church for Mass until August 1st. Daily Masses will be held in the Family Life Center meeting room, and weekend Mass for 7/25-7/26 will be held in the School Gymnasium. The capacity for Mass in the FLC is only 18 attendees, while the gym can accommodate 120 attendees. Please check this page or our Facebook page for updates as installation progresses.
Please note that Bishop Cahill has extended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass for Catholics in the Diocese of Victoria until June 30, 2020. This is to protect the physcial health of the vulnerable and the emotional needs of those who are uncomfortable with being physically present at this time regarding COVID-19.
Some of you have been taking advantage of virtually “attending” daily Mass by watching the video on our website, put out by Word on Fire. However, there will no longer be daily Mass broadcasted from Bishop Barron’s chapel, as of June 2nd. We are removing the video feature from our parish website as it will no longer be updated. For more information and suggested daily Mass options, click the heading.

We are sad to announce that St. Rose Church is cancelling our June 14th picnic due to the pandemic. However, we are planning to have a fundraiser on that date which will include a drive-thru dinner. A sweepstakes drawing will also take place and a picnic donation envelope will be available. We are looking to see what additional activities we can incorporate. There will be a planning meeting on Tuesday, May 5th at 6:00 p.m. at the Family Life Center to discuss the June 14th fundraisers. If you have suggestions, please attend the meeting or contact the parish office.
Our Bishop has issued guidelines to our parishes outlining steps to be taken in order to re-open our churches. St. Rose of Lima is working on reviewing these guidelines and developing plans for us to safely worship together again. Please be advised that there will be NO changes to our current practices for this coming weekend. We hope to implement the new guidelines as early as the weekend of May 9th-10th.
Attention St. Rose parishioners: Our new website gives us a place to upload our bulletins for those times when you forget to pick one up, when you attend Mass elsewhere, or like now, when we can’t attend Mass at all. Make sure you check out this week's bulletin for an update on our church remodeling! Click the picture for more information.
